Uni Lausanne to launch online Criminology Curriculum

The University of Lausanne is rushing into the foray of e-Learning and online coursework with a new curriculum of criminal forensics. The new e-Learning cursis will concentrate on crime scene analysis and forensic detection methods and will extend over 18 months.

A the Institute for Criminal Studies in Lausanne, the course’s designers say have addressed the curriculum partly to field practitioners but also to a range of auxiliary professionals and potential educational tourists.

With unemployment on the rise and more and more skilled professionals with extra time on their hands, some pundits are predicting a period of growth for the ‘education industry.’

Indeed, the market for continuing education is expected to grow in response to the general ‘warehousing’ of young professionals faced with diminishing professional opportunities.
