<p>Les bonnes résolutions sont une coutume de la civilisation occidentale qui consiste, à l&#8217;occasion du passage à la nouvelle année le 1er janvier, à prendre un ou plusieurs engagements envers soi-même pour améliorer son comportement, une habitude ou son mode de vie durant l&#8217;année à venir.</p>
<p>Le site officiel du gouvernement américain propose même une liste des bonnes résolutions les plus populaires dans le cas où vous n’auriez pas d’inspiration…</p>
<p>Arrêter de fumer, perdre du poids, prendre du temps pour soi, apprendre une nouvelle langue, changer de travail&#8230; Vous venez sans doute de prendre vous aussi vos bonnes résolutions…</p>
<p>Mais comment parvenir à les concrétiser ?</p>
<p><strong>Restez humble et réaliste</strong><br />
Ne multipliez pas les objectifs car c’est la meilleure manière de ne rien changer du tout au final.<br />
Fixez-vous un but précis, imaginez comment le mettre en pratique et préparez-vous mentalement à tous les efforts que cela implique.</p>
<p><strong>Admettez les difficultés</strong><br />
Il y a des objectifs plus ou moins difficiles à atteindre ou à maintenir. Parmi ceux-là: trouver un nouveau travail qui vous plaise et où vous êtes reconnu.</p>
<p><strong>Soyez entreprenant</strong><br />
Etablissez un plan d&#8217;action concret, en y allant étape par étape: plutôt que de dire cette année, je trouverai un nouvel emploi, dites je vais écrire au minimum trois lettres de candidature par mois et réanimer mon réseau social.</p>
<p><strong>Faites le point régulièrement</strong><br />
Il est bon de faire régulièrement un état des lieux par rapport aux difficultés rencontrées: quelles sont ses forces et ses faiblesses. Au besoin, n&#8217;hésitez pas à redéfinir vos objectifs.</p>
<p><strong>Et si vous n’y arrivez pas</strong><br />
En cas d&#8217;échec, n&#8217;en faites pas une défaite personnelle. Tentez plutôt de trouver pourquoi vous n&#8217;avez pas réussi. Ce n’est sans doute que partie remise. De toute manière, rappelez-vous que seule résolution sur dix est encore d&#8217;actualité douze mois plus tard, selon une étude du professeur Richard Wiseman.</p>

<p>Three weeks ago, following the replacement of a network component by the line provider,  qual.ch began experiencing line bandwidth problems.  The line provider scheduled the component replacement ostensibly &#8220;to resolve occasional line problems.&#8221;  </p>
<p>The result has been users experiencing a slowdown in loading time by factors of 2 or 3.  </p>
<p>The line provider, VTX, has responded to the problem by claiming that their technicians find  &#8216;nothing wrong with the line.&#8217;    Thus no progress in fixing the problem has been made since 24 June.</p>
<p>Repeated measurements made by qual.ch network engineers since June with the http://speedtest.net  bandwidth measurement tool have shown network bandwidth on the line dropping at times below 300k, a small fraction of the bandwith the provider is supposed to be supplying.</p>
<p>Technician&#8217;s at VTX have disingenuously responded that they do not accept Speedtest.net measurements as valid.   </p>
<p>Engineers at qual.ch have expressed outrage at VTX&#8217;s attitude.  Speedtest.net is a near universally-used tool,  allowing consumers of &#8216;guaranteed bandwidth services&#8217; from line providers to measure the bandwidth they are actually receiving.   </p>
<p>In the meantime, users continue to experience slowness of access to qual.ch while the site&#8217;s engineers try to get their line supplier to &#8220;fix the problem rather than pretend it isn&#8217;t there.&#8221;</p>

<p>And then in November they discovered qual.ch (we have the visitor logs to prove it).</p>
<p>Two months later, back from the Holidays, and we discover that they changed their homepage to incorporate key qual.ch usability motifs, such as both candidate and company login side by side on the homepage.</p>
<p>2009 begins with Qual.ch already shaking up the major players !</p>
<p>Hey, instead of lamely copying us on the sly, why don&#8217;t you just hire our Design department to redesign your site entirely ?</p>
